Embracing Change in My 20s

I turned 21 a couple of months ago, and it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions. On one hand, I’ve ticked off achievements that some of my peers are still chasing. But on the other, I can’t shake this creeping sense of failure and fear. It’s like no matter how far I’ve come, there’s always someone who’s soared higher. That pesky comparison game—always making us feel a little less.

Truth be told, I’ve always followed my instincts, and they’ve often led me to success. But this past week? It’s been a rough one. I’ve got big dreams, yet I feel like time is slipping through my fingers. I wanted to be someone big by 23, but with less than two years left, it feels like I’ve got miles to go.

If you’ve ever felt this way, know you’re not alone. It doesn’t matter if you’re 21 or 51, that nagging feeling of “I could’ve done more” hits us all at some point. It’s funny, isn’t it? Here I am, barely in my 20s, talking about life’s big questions. Maybe it’s because I’m young and lack experience, but these thoughts have been tagging along every day.

I feel like I’m not hitting my full potential. So, as the New Year rolled in, I decided it’s time for a change. I want to turn this site into something exciting and share my journey with you. Here’s my game plan:

1. Prioritize Physical and Mental Health

It’s time to get serious about my well-being—no more half-hearted attempts! Regular exercise and meditation are non-negotiable now. I’ve decided to hit the gym more often (no more excuses!) and finally commit to getting at least six hours of sleep. It’s about time I stopped treating sleep like a luxury and started seeing it as the necessity it is. Let’s see how long I can keep this up without hitting the snooze button too many times!

2. Step Up My Skincare Routine

No more lazy nights skipping my skincare routine—it’s time to dive into the world of skincare, one product at a time. I’ve realized that making myself more presentable isn’t just about appearances; it’s about feeling good too. After all, looking good can go a long way! My trusty partner on this journey? Deconstruct. So, let’s see where this adventure takes me. Here’s to glowing up, inside and out!

3. Explore New Income Streams

First up—diving into the stock market! It’s a whole new world, but I’m ready to take it on, one step at a time. I’ve made a few investments over the past years, but there’s still so much to learn. My goal is to deepen my understanding so I can confidently step into the world of trading stocks. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Let’s see where this journey takes me!

4. Sharpen Professional Skills

Even though I’ve passed my intermediate exams, I still feel a bit behind my peers. So, it’s back to the books for me! I’m determined to crush my SPOM exams and master both the intermediate and final syllabi. My goal? To become one of the most sought-after CAs in the field. There’s a lot of work ahead, but I’m ready to put in the effort and make it happen. Time to level up!

This journey isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress and embracing the process. Here’s to chasing dreams, one step at a time. Let’s make this year one for the books!

Stay tuned, stay inspired, and remember—we’re all in this together.
